The hour is the number the little hand has , not the number it is closest to.
Why a whole session on thisAlmost every wrong time answer at this age is an hour hand error. A child who reads 3:45 as "four forty five" has not misread the minutes, she has misread which hour she is in. Fix this first and the rest is easy.
