2Write the number.
5 tens and 3 ones =
8 tens and 0 ones =
1 hundred, 4 tens, 2 ones =
1 hundred, 0 tens, 7 ones =
40 + 6 =
100 + 60 + 3 =
3Now break each number a second way. Trade one ten for ten ones.
Example: 47 is 4 tens and 7 ones. It is ALSO 3 tens and 17 ones.
52 = tens and ones

36 = tens and ones
4Draw 64 using sticks. Bundles of ten, then loose ones.
