Unit 01 // Session A // Master when ready
Ten is made of two parts. Know the pairs, do not count them. Le tout est 10.
Look and say. How many dots?
Do not count one by one. Look at the shape, then write.
How many more to fill the frame?
The full frame is 10. Write the part you can see, then the part that is missing.
The whole is 10. Fill in the missing part.
No dots this time. Try to know it before you work it out.
Now the whole is missing. Find it.
Both parts are there. Put them together.
The rainbow of ten.
Each arc joins two numbers that make 10. Write the partner at the other end.
One pair has no arc, because it joins a number to itself. Which one? 5 and 5.
She gives the partner of any number to 10 straight away, without counting up and without looking at a frame. A short pause is fine. Counting on fingers means repeat this session.
